Devices | Host MCU Images

This page shows information on the Host MCU images for the device. Host MCU images (which are OEM Host software images) are firmware images that will be applied on the Host MCU. They are developed by or for the OEM. This includes the firmware image that comes with the Ayla Integrated Agent (White Box). Host MCU images are deployed and communicate directly with Ayla-enabled Wi-Fi modules. The following information is provided on this page:

    • Description- the description of the MCU image
    • OEM Model - the model number of the customer’s host application board
    • Version - the version of the Host MCU image associated with this device

    • Uploaded Date - the date that the image was uploaded to the Ayla Customer Dashboard

    • Size (bytes) - the size of the image
    • Min version - the lowest version that this image will update
    • Jobs - The number of OTA (Over-the-Air) jobs to which this image has been applied
    • Local Device checkbox:
    • Select if the image will only be used for a local device, i.e. a Phone as a Gateway device.
    • Unselect for other devices.
  • Actions - deploy icon and dowload image icon (refer to instructions below.)

ClosedSearch for a particular Host MCU image

  1. Click SEARCH HOST MCU IMAGES (upper right corner) to open the Search dialog box:

  1. Enter the search parameters that you have for the image.
  1. Click the SEARCH button, which displays the results on the Host MCU Images page.

ClosedDeploy a Host MCU image

  1. Click the deploy icon under Actions for the image:

  1. Click ACCEPT in the Confirmation dialog box.

ClosedDownload the Host MCU image

  1. Click the download icon under Actions for the image:

  1. Move to the location you wish.

ClosedEdit details for the Host MCU image

  1. Click the image you wish to edit, which opens the Host MCU Image dialog box:

  1. Click the EDIT button.

Notice that a Local Device checkbox appears toward the bottom of the dialog box.

  1. Edit the fields described below:
  • OEM Model - the model number of the customer’s host application board.
  • Release notes (URL)- the URL address of the release notes.
  • Version - the current version of Host MCU Image.
  • Min version - the minimum version of this Host MCU Image can update.
  • Source - the location where host image is stored (determined by Ayla and OEM Admin).
  • Local - to MySQL
  • s3 - the bucket in AWS (currently not supported)
  • Description - the description of the Host MCU image
  • Local Device checkbox- only select if this is a local device, i.e. Phone as a Gateway; otherwise, leave unselected.
  1. Click UPDATE.

 

 

How to get here on the dashboard: Click Devices in the navigation panel, then click the device in the table listing to open the Device page. Click Host MCU IMAGES in the menu on the lower left side.
